When purchasing a Karcher Waterblaster some consideration should be put into buying a cold water blaster or a hot water blaster.
Obviously each situation is different and each application is also different however here are a few key things to consider before you make you purchase.
Tip No One
1. Are you dealing with grease and oils. If so you should consider a hot water blaster over a cold waterblaster to avoid having to use too much detergents. Heat is very good at breaking down oils and greases with some assistance from detergent. Our range of Karcher water blasters have varying temperature settings that can make all the difference for the user when treating and waterblasting fats and oils such as is found in a abattoir, an engineering workshop that deals in greases and engine oils and other extreme areas of the work scene where the cleaning and wash down is alot of work and challenging.
2. Will you be near electricity and if so will an electric water blaster be safe to use in the environments you operate in, i.e are there forklifts operating, are there children close by and so on. Electricity is very good at producing heat in a Karcher water blaster however we also have diesel options and petrol hot waterblasters which can be safer particularly if the above situation is present. There are other things to consider with diesel and that is ventalation for the user. Fresh air is critical so fume inhalation does not occur and the user is not impaired by the exhaust.
3. If your main work is cleaning mold and moss plus marine growth then cold water blasters are perfectly suited. No heat is usually required and then the purchase of the waterblaster comes down to how big an area the user is cleaning, and how often he/she is using the water blaster. More often than not the correct unit is quite different to what the purchaser had in mind as they had not taken into consideration the size of the area, the length of powercable required, and the availability of water for the machine.
